Security Officer - Retail Unarmed Patrol

As a Security Officer - Retail Unarmed Patrol in Lodi, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining visible and approachable. Your presence contributes to a welcoming environment, providing exceptional customer service and communication to guests and staff. Position Type : Full Time

Pay Rate : $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Tue 01 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Wed 01 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Thur 01 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Sun 01 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the retail location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail premises and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or irregularities encountered during patrols.
  • Communicate with Allied Universal management and / or local law enforcement as appropriate based on site protocols.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points within the retail environment.
  • Document daily activities, observations, and incidents according to Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
