Senior Linux Systems Administrator

ECS is seeking a Senior Linux Systems Administrator to work in our Fort Meade, MD office. Please Note : This position is contingent upon contract award.

ECS is a leading Cyber Security company that provides innovative solutions to our clients. We are seeking an experienced Senior Red Hat System Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our Linux infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Red Hat System Administrator to lead the administration of our Linux environments, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). The successful candidate will be responsible for :

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining Red Hat-based systems, including RHEL, VMWare and OpenShift.
• Providing expert-level support for Linux systems, including troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving complex issues.
• Developing and implementing best practices for Linux system administration, security, and compliance.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Linux systems with other IT systems and applications.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain Red Hat-based systems, including RHEL, VMWare, and OpenShift.

Develop and implement best practices for Linux system security and DoD RMF compliance

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including cyber systems engineers, SIEM / logging team, and IT operations.

Stay up-to-date with the latest Red Hat technologies and best practices.
