Warner Bros. Discovery, Inc., the global leader in real life entertainment with powerful brands such as Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet, HGTV, Food Network, ID and Travel Channel, is searching for an Executive Assistant in our New York office. This organized multi-tasker will help support and manage the Development and Production offices including the day-to-day management of two departments with the purpose of meeting business initiatives, standards, for quality, value, and innovation for the network. The ideal candidate is extremely organized, with strong attention to detail, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Your Role Accountabilities...
Provides key administrative and organizational support to two Senior Vice Presidents in the Production & Development Department.
Work across internal departments and with key external industry stakeholders such as agents, writers, producers, talent, etc. to maintain smooth operations and accommodate priorities. This role will be the initial contact representing Turner.
Deals with high level proprietary / confidential information.
Maintains the flow of information between development, current programming, casting, and other departments within the division and the network as well as with the Entertainment community at large.
Assist with the overall development and production processes throughout the entire creative and production cycles including but not limited to : generate, maintain and archive all project assets; compile, distribute, review, research and evaluate agendas, research projects, production company and project materials, etc.
Create and implement procedures to better organize the department, track and maintain information, responsibilities and assignments, as well as strategize with teams on new and future opportunities.
Manages and coordinates the scheduling of meetings, phone calls, travel, expense reports, and other administrative tasks.
Maintain an organized office.
Qualifications and Experience...
Prefer 2 years + of experience within the entertainment industry and 3+ years experience in an executive assistant role.
Ideal candidate will be experienced in handling wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks. Be able to work independently with little or no supervision.
Must be exceedingly well organized and flexible.
Ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast paced environment, remain flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to multi-task; must be able to constantly and consistently prioritize workload of executive and oneself simultaneously.
Must be able to handle themselves professionally as they will have direct interaction with many other executives within the company as well as writers, producers, talent and other executives within the industry.
The person in this position will also need to handle many sensitive documents and must be trusted with confidentiality.
This individual must also have a solid understanding of the entertainment industry specifically as it relates to the creative side of the business.
