Responsibilities Position is based in an acute care transfer center with no direct patient care responsibilities Handles transfers for all patient types from hospitals within and outside the health system Average caseload of 10-15 cases per shift, working with multiple hospitals Works 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend required No floating required; first to float if necessary Uses Cerner EMR, TeleTracking, Tiger Connect, and Google apps Scrubs of any color are permitted as long as clean and professional; jeans and hoodies allowed if presentable Orientation includes 1 day of general and 3-5 days of department-specific training, which may occur on any shift Primary responsibility is to facilitate and coordinate patient transfers by securing physician acceptance and arranging bed placement Will work closely with a support team including supervisors and leadership No direct patient contact or bedside care required Holiday coverage may be needed depending on operational demand Must have excellent customer service skills, multitasking abilities, and learn quickly Limited requested time off is allowed; schedule flexibility is expected First-time travelers are welcome to apply Candidates must not have worked directly for CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within the past year; PRN via outside firms is accepted Free onsite parking and electric vehicle charging available Requirements Active unrestricted CA RN license required at time of consideration Minimum of 2 years' recent ICU, ED, or transfer center experience in an acute care setting Demonstrated critical care assessment skills and clinical judgement Experience with Cerner or Epic EMR is required Current BLS certification required Strong computer skills; able to use multiple simultaneous applications Professional references : 1 from a supervisor within the past 12 months and 1 peer or supervisor within the past 3 years Must pass a Relias Dysrhythmia exam (or equivalent within 12 months) prior to acceptance, with a maximum of two attempts Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-607635.
