We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable (AP) Associate to join our finance team in a fast-paced trucking and logistics environment . The AP Specialist will be responsible for processing and reconciling vendor invoices, ensuring timely payments, processing credit card and fuel card transactions, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of AP processes. Experience in the transportation industry, including working with Bills of Lading (BOL's) will be helpful.

Essential Duties :

  • Review and enter vendor invoices into accounting system (TMW TruckMate, Quickbooks)
  • Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH, and wire transfers
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
  • Monitor aging reports and maintain positive vendor relationships
  • Maintains documented policies and procedures

Progressive Responsibilities :

  • Implements and monitors ongoing accounting schedules
  • Assists in the development of budgets and forecasts
  • Engages in ongoing cost reduction analysis
  • Leads year-end audit and review initiatives
  • Trains new and existing accounting staff based on business needs
  • Identifies opportunities to improve accounting processes and collaborates with leadership to implement change
  • Performs other trained duties as assigned
  • Qualifications :

  • Associates degree in accounting or finance (Preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Two years of accounts payable experience (in trucking or logistics environment preferred)
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications
  • Position is based on-site, not eligible for remote work
  • Candidate must pass a pre-employment background check and physical.
