A day in the shop
At our Houston, TX, 77041 facility, you’ll be the go-to expert turning raw stock into precision components. Your day begins by setting up multi-axis CNC lathes with live tooling, dialing in offsets, and verifying first-article parts against blueprints. Throughout the shift, you’ll monitor cycle performance, make smart adjustments, and keep production flowing smoothly while upholding rigorous quality and safety standards.
What you’ll handle
- Set up and operate CNC equipment to produce parts to spec, with a strong preference for experience on multi-axis lathes with live tooling.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to ensure accuracy.
- Continuously monitor machine operations; adjust parameters and tooling to maintain quality.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
- Apply and uphold safety and quality regulations throughout every job.
- Collaborate with teammates to streamline processes and boost efficiency.
- Document production data and maintain clear, accurate records of work.
What you bring
High school diploma or equivalent; a machining-related technical degree or certification is preferred.Hands-on experience as a CNC Machinist or in a closely related role.Proficiency with CNC machine operation and precision measuring tools.Strong grasp of G-code programming and CNC setup practices.Ability to interpret technical documents and engineering drawings.Sharp problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.Clear communicator and dependable team player.Flexibility to work varied hours and overtime as needed.Your toolkit
