Job Summary :
The Phlebotomist / Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the organization to patients seeking diagnostic services. This role combines strong phlebotomy skills, customer service excellence, and meticulous attention to detail. The PSR I collects and processes blood specimens accurately and efficiently while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform venipuncture and specimen collection with precision and professionalism.
Ensure all specimens are properly labeled, documented, and processed according to clinical and forensic collection standards.
Maintain required records, logs, and documentation in compliance with company and regulatory policies.
Provide a professional and compassionate patient experience.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Uphold patient confidentiality and demonstrate commitment to Everyday Excellence standards.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and patients to ensure seamless workflow.
Required Experience :
Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience required; 1+ years preferred.
Customer service experience in healthcare, retail, or service industries preferred.
Proficiency in keyboard / data entry and electronic documentation systems.
Required Education :
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
Phlebotomy certification required in California.
Required Skills :
Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
Strong customer service and interpersonal communication.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
High attention to accuracy and detail in documentation.
Preferred Skills :
Experience in high-volume laboratory or patient service environments.
Familiarity with laboratory systems and safety protocols.
Flexibility to cover additional sites as needed.
Additional Skills :
Ability to work weekends, holidays, or overtime as required.
Reliable transportation and adherence to company dress code and safety standards.
Demonstrates leadership behaviors and professionalism at all times.
