Overview

Cable Harness / Electronics Assembly Technician Level 1 - 2nd Shift

As part of Advanced Concepts and Enterprise Engineering (ACE) at Blue Origin, you will build and test avionics hardware used for flight and non-flight purposes. You will apply technical expertise, leadership, and a commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. This role supports spaceflight vehicle development and production with a focus on manufacturable design, innovation, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Building wire harness / cable assemblies (primary responsibility - at least 80% of daily work)
  • Troubleshooting and repairing electronic assemblies
  • Integrating avionics and ground support hardware into software and hardware test beds
  • Supporting system testing

Minimum Qualifications

  • Good understanding of basic electronics theory – voltage, resistance, current
  • Basic digital literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, etc)
  • Ability to follow written assembly procedures
  • Ability to learn new skills quickly
  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, and desire for continuous improvement
  • Ability to thrive as a member of a collaborative team
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience with aerospace avionics wire harnesses
  • 2 year Associates degree in electrical or electronic engineering technology
  • Current or expired harness assembly, crimping and soldering certifications (IPC / WHMA-A-620, IPC-A 610 and J-STD-001)
  • Proficient in using basic electronic lab test equipment, such as power supplies and handheld multimeters
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings
  • Experience with 5S practices, such as shadow boarding
  • Compensation

    Base pay range : $24.02 / hr - $33.63 / hr. WA applicants : $24.02-$33.63.

    Schedule

    Shifts available : M-F 1pm-9pm
