About The Position

Job Title : Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT)

Location : Tehachapi, California

Start Date : ASAP

Duration : 27 Weeks

Schedule : AM Shift 40 hours / week

Catalytic Solutions is hiring a Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) for a contract opportunity in Susanville, CA. This role is ideal for LPN / LVN professionals with experience or interest in correctional healthcare settings.

As an LPT, you'll provide foundational behavioral and psychiatric nursing care to mentally or developmentally disabled individuals. You will contribute to treatment planning, lead group therapy sessions, monitor and report patient behavior, and coordinate care with physicians and specialists.

Key Responsibilities :

Deliver basic psychiatric nursing care to patients / youth

Support the development and implementation of group and individual therapy regimens

Facilitate group therapy sessions

Observe, document, and report changes in symptoms or behaviors

Communicate with collaborating medical professionals regarding patient care

Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention

Coordinate referrals to healthcare providers and facilities

Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create treatment plans based on assessments

Offer guidance and emotional support to patients and their families

Job Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience as a Licensed Psychiatric Technician within the past 36 months

Valid and current BLS / CPR certification (American Heart Association)

Active California LPT license and up-to-date credentials

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Compassionate demeanor and ability to build rapport with patients

Familiarity with medical terminology
