Position Description

This position is responsible for provision of basic nursing care and services which are performed under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse or physician. Work is performed under usual clinic conditions; has a high degree of contact with patients and other clinic personnel.

Major / Essential Functions

• Patient Observation :  Monitor patients for changes in health, behavior, or condition, reporting relevant information to the supervising nurse.
• Patient Environmen t :  Maintain cleanliness in patient rooms, make beds, and ensure the overall safety of the patient's living space.
• Communication & Support :  Provide compassionate emotional support to patients and their families and act as a liaison between the patient and the care team.
• Documentation :   Accurately document care activities, observations, and patient responses in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
• Vital Signs :  Accurately take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) and report any changes or abnormalities to the nursing staff.

Pay Statement

A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent. Completion of a nursing assistant training course or six months experience as a nursing assistant.
