SCI Security Specialist
Leidos is on the lookout for a mission-driven SCI Security Specialist to join our elite team at Hurlburt Field, FL. This role requires an active TS / SCI clearance and offers a front-row seat to some of the most critical operations in defense intelligence.
Program Oversight
- Administer physical, industrial, personnel, and information security programs.
- Ensure compliance with ACCM, SCI and collateral standards.
- Investigate and report security incidents; oversee technical reviews and damage assessments.
- Make final decisions on classification / declassification issues and guide personnel on classification requirements.
- Review Program Security Directives (PSDs) and Classification Guides (PSCGs).
- Provide oversight on classification authority, document marking, safeguarding, access controls, and information handling.
Policy & Analysis
Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and techniques.Analyze complex security scenarios to determine appropriate methods, waivers, or corrective actions.Review security incidents and recommend resolutions.Evaluate classification challenges and determine appropriate levels.Facility Security
Direct periodic inspections of cleared facilities for compliance.Review and resolve security violations.Apply research and technology principles to mitigate threats.Personnel Security
Interpret and establish policy for processing Program Access Requests (PARs).Train personnel on clearance sensitivity and access requirements.Oversee access records and correspondence.Physical Security
Ensure proper documentation and accreditation of ACCM facilities.Review SOPs, co-utilization agreements, and secure construction plans.Recommend physical control measures (safes, locks, fences, etc.).Define restricted areas and manage ACCM material movement.Serve as alternate facility manager; coordinate work orders and escort contractors.Security Education
Plan and conduct security education programs.Develop training materials and deliver briefings per DoD and AF guidelines.Issue security bulletins and conduct initial / refresher training.Provide foreign travel briefings for personnel with classified access.Qualifications :
Clearance : Active TS / SCI on day 1.Education : Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and 5+ years of related experience.Expertise :Strong knowledge of ACCM, SCI and collateral security standards.Working knowledge of National Background Investigation Services (NBIS) and Defense Information System for Security (DISS).Advanced understanding of personnel, industrial, information, and operational security.Experience developing and evaluating security programs.Strong communication skills with senior officials.Proven ability to build collaborative relationships across teams and agencies.
