The Design + Communications Specialist leads the visual and digital expression of Salt + Light. This role designs, manages, and executes creative materials across all internal and external platforms—ensuring every piece reflects Salt + Light’s mission of restoring dignity, belonging, and hope.

From social media to campaigns, events to internal communications, this position brings creative strategy to life through thoughtful design, visual storytelling, and consistent brand presence. The Design + Communications Specialist collaborates closely with the Events + Communications Manager to ensure all marketing efforts are cohesive, compelling, and deeply rooted in the heart of Salt + Light.

Key Responsibilities Design + Creative Direction

• Lead design of all internal and external marketing materials for Salt + Light.
• Develop design materials for events, campaigns, and other external communications.
• Create internal visual materials such as flyers, graphics, signage, and print pieces.
• Maintain and evolve Salt + Light’s brand identity through consistent design application and visual updates.
• Serve as the owner of the design communication channel, managing incoming design requests and timelines.
• Support the development and rollout of brand refreshes, templates, and visual assets that strengthen Salt + Light’s design language.
