Mechanical Assembler Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Assembler to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced contract manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate consistent, high-quality workmanship and possess the ability to interpret technical drawings and perform complex mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies. This role requires collaboration across departments, including Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly tasks with moderate to high complexity.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
  • Use hand and power tools proficiently to complete assembly operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and timely delivery.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and adhere to safety and quality protocols.
  • Document work processes and follow established manufacturing procedures.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools for mechanical assembly.
  • Ability to read and work from mechanical drawings and schematics.
  • Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and visual acuity.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in a contract manufacturing environment.

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with electro-mechanical manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with assembling :

    • Conveyors and large mechanical systems

  • Complex military / defense box builds
  • UL508a control panels
  • Cable and wire harnesses
  • Understanding of industry standards and compliance requirements.

    Work Environment

  • Fast-paced contract manufacturing setting.
  • Projects vary daily, requiring flexibility and adaptability.
  • Work hours : Monday to Friday, 7 : 00 AM – 4 : 00 PM.

    • Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00 / hr.
