As a new CDL Driver & Live Unloader at Barrett Petfood, you can expect a rewarding and dynamic work experience each day. Your primary responsibilities will include transporting products safely to designated locations while adhering to strict safety protocols. Your daily schedule will typically involve shifts on Saturday, Sunday, and one weekday, accommodating a swing shift format that requires adaptability and strong time management skills.

Expect to engage with various teams and utilize problem-solving skills to address any challenges that may arise during operations. This role offers the chance to cultivate valuable relationships with colleagues and customers while contributing to our commitment to high-performance standards.

REsponsibilities

• Transport finished goods or raw materials locally in central MN. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations.
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials.
• Ensure organization of the trailer lot where bulk ingredients are stored.
• Works closely with Mill Supervisor, Mill Coordinator, and Dispatcher on a daily basis.
• Drives quality through monitoring and validating that the product & trailer is within standards, checking paperwork, and ensuring all is correct.
• Receive in ingredients into ERP System.
• Inspect equipment daily for mechanical items and safety issues.
• Assist in sampling ingredients.
• Assist in fueling equipment.
• Follow all safety protocols while on the road and loading / unloading sites
• Maintain a clean truck and trailer.
• Clean trucks dry van, reefer, and hopper bottom trailers.
• Operation of grain bins and equipment, including organization of materials.
