Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An experienced Pharmacy Manager is needed to lead operations at a large mail order pounding pharmacy servicing all 50 states. This contract-to-hire role is based in Cincinnati, OH and requires strong leadership in pharmacy management, pounding expertise, and regulatory pliance.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality patient care
  • Lead, mentor, and manage pharmacy staff including pharmacists, technicians, and administrative personnel
  • Develop and implement policies to improve operational efficiency and service quality
  • Schedule and allocate staff for optimal coverage during 2nd shift hours (2pm-10pm or 4pm-12am), including some weekends
  • Ensure pliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including DEA and HIPAA guidelines
  • Maintain accurate records and participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Stay current with pharmaceutical industry developments and standards

Qualifications :

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution
  • Active Pharmacy license in Ohio
  • 3-5 years leadership experience in a pounding pharmacy setting
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacotherapy
  • Proficient with pharmacy software and electronic health records (knowledge of PioneerRx preferred)
  • Excellent munication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Thorough understanding of sterile and non-sterile pounding techniques, including capsules, creams, injections, and eye medications
