Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An experienced Pharmacy Manager is needed to lead operations at a large mail order pounding pharmacy servicing all 50 states. This contract-to-hire role is based in Cincinnati, OH and requires strong leadership in pharmacy management, pounding expertise, and regulatory pliance.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality patient care
- Lead, mentor, and manage pharmacy staff including pharmacists, technicians, and administrative personnel
- Develop and implement policies to improve operational efficiency and service quality
- Schedule and allocate staff for optimal coverage during 2nd shift hours (2pm-10pm or 4pm-12am), including some weekends
- Ensure pliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including DEA and HIPAA guidelines
- Maintain accurate records and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Stay current with pharmaceutical industry developments and standards
Qualifications :
Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institutionActive Pharmacy license in Ohio3-5 years leadership experience in a pounding pharmacy settingStrong knowledge of pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacotherapyProficient with pharmacy software and electronic health records (knowledge of PioneerRx preferred)Excellent munication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skillsThorough understanding of sterile and non-sterile pounding techniques, including capsules, creams, injections, and eye medicationsmitment to patient safety, ethical standards, and regulatory plianceBenefits include prehensive medical, dental, vision coverage, paid time off, paid holidays, 401(k), and more.
