Unit Summary

As a Float RN, you’ll be a versatile team player, working across all acute care units to ensure smooth operations. You’ll provide direct patient care, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established standards.

Position Responsibilities

Implement care plans, including medication administration and clinical treatments.

Document all patient care provided.

Monitor and communicate patient conditions to the care team, physicians, and families.

Assist patients with daily living activities, including hygiene and nutrition.

Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate comprehensive patient care.

Evaluate and address the learning needs of patients and families.

Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.

Supervise daily staffing assignments and provide mentorship to staff.

Ensure quality of services and compliance with policies and protocols.

Lead the resolution of complex issues and patient complaints.

Minimum Qualifications

Associates Degree in Nursing (required)

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred)

Current RN license to practice in Kentucky

2 years of critical care experience

Certifications : BCLS; ACLS & PALS as per unit requirements
