Sr. Network Engineer

o Assist the VP of Networking in to ensure optimal performance and security on our network infrastructure

o Lead the design, configuration, support, and maintenance of the enterprise network, including Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls.

o Develop and enforce network security policies, ensuring compliance with financial services regulations.

o Collaborate with cloud, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure seamless migration and integration of services.

o Monitor and optimize network performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement solutions proactively.

o Manage, mentor, and oversee a small networking team, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.

o Evaluate new technologies, tools, and best practices to enhance network resiliency, automation, and security.

o Provide escalation support for critical network issues and ensure 24 / 7 operational readiness.

• Additional Skills & Qualifications

o Minimum of 10 years of relevant or equivalent experience with evidence of increasing responsibility

o 10+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise networking.

o Deep expertise with Cisco networking technologies : switches, routers, and firewalls.

o Familiarity with network security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., PCI DSS, SOX, NYDFS Cybersecurity).

o Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.

o Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and present to leadership.

o Demonstrated leadership or managerial experience, including mentoring team members and overseeing project delivery.

• Good to have :

o Strong understanding of AWS networking (VPC, Transit Gateway, Security Groups, NACLs, etc.); Azure networking experience is a plus.

o Proven experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code best practices (modular design, version control, automation pipelines).

o Experience with hybrid cloud connectivity (AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, SD-WAN).

o Familiarity with container networking (Kubernetes, EKS / AKS).

• Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $80.00 / hr.
