Prep Cook - Restaurant :
As a Prep Cook you will team up with our Chefs to assist in the operation of our professional kitchen. Your work begins the process of what finishes as culinary success. Your attention to detail and ability to follow directions will enable you to safely and efficiently set up workstations, prepare ingredients, and perform other routine yet critical kitchen tasks. Your ability to thrive in a fast-paced and busy environment will help to contribute to the overall success of your team.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Preparation of all food for breakfast, lunch and / or dinner menus. Keeping a required level of all products in the right areas for prep or storage. Ensure that the right tools and appliances are ready at all times.
- Set-up service and prep stations with needed items for your meal period. Including ingredients, food preparations, serving plates and appliance or equipment needed.
- Responsible for all ingredient and food preparation. Includes, but not limited to :
- Salad and entrée items before each shift; wash and cut lettuce, vegetables, fruits, meats, etc. and maintain product levels during service.
- Weigh, measure & mix ingredients to correct proportions.
- Slice, grind & cook meats and vegetables.
- Complete basic cooking duties; reducing sauces, parboiling food, etc.
- Check supplies and prep lists to ensure all items are prepped and ready to go.
- Assist our Chef with all required menu items using standard recipes in accordance with club standards.
Prepare the basics; following established portions and presentation standards, while producing high-quality products to our members and guests.
Ability and knowledge to run and operate kitchen equipment; braising pan, baking ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers to properly prepare all food.Cover, date and neatly store leftover products that are re-usable.Requisition items needed to produce menu items.Assist with receiving, storing and rotation of product.
Notify Executive Chef of expected shortages.Set up, maintain, break down and clean prep cook station between periods daily.Ensure that assigned work areas and equipment are clean & sanitary and all equipment is operating properly at all times.Maintain neat professional appearance and observe personal cleanliness rules when entering and leaving the kitchen and throughout the day.Assist in maintaining security and safety in the kitchen.Adheres to State and Local health and safety regulations.Each employee of Brackett's Crossing is expected to carry out all reasonable requests by management that the employee is capable of performing.
Position & Schedule :
Full-Time and / or Part-Time Variable, Non-Exempt position. Flexible schedule based on business; days and hours subject to change due to member and / or sponsored events, weather and time of year.Employee Perks ~
