    • Job Description

    This position assumes responsibility and accountability for providing nursing care to patients and their families. The OR RN is expected to provide compassionate, individualized nursing care , collaborating with providers, staff, and other team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities :

  • Oversee daily patient flow to optimize care, safety, and satisfaction
  • Triage incoming patient requests for services
  • Deliver patient education to facilitate the plan of care and promote wellness
  • Delegate care appropriately according to Colorado statutes
  • Demonstrate competent assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills
  • Handle high telephone volume for patient requests, medications, and assistance
  • Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist in procedures while adhering to safety guidelines
  • Coordinate patient care with other physician practices and Vail Health as needed
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Advocate for safety, patient preferences, and optimal communication through Relationship-Based Care
  • Role model Just Culture and organizational values
  • Perform other duties as assigned while maintaining HIPAA compliance

    Requirements

    Experience :

  • Minimum 1 year operating room experience required

    • Licensure :

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Colorado or from a valid compact state

    • Certifications :

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required

    • Computer / Typing Skills :

  • Must possess, or obtain within 90 days, the skills needed for online learning, forms, policies, benefits enrollment, etc.
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking)
