Compensation Range : $60.00 – $75.00 / hr W2

Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer (Architect-level) to join an Agile delivery team supporting enterprise-scale data initiatives. This role is hands-on with SQL development, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Synapse SQL , and BI tools, with a focus on building, optimizing, and documenting scalable data solutions. Candidates should be able to collaborate cross-functionally, communicate clearly, and contribute to both technical and business-facing aspects of projects.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities :

Collaborate with the Data Engineering Lead to assess requirements and define scope.

Prototype, design, and implement compliant data solutions in Azure and SQL environments.

Conduct and document unit testing of development work.

Participate in design and review sessions with Product Owners, updating documentation as needed.

Provide updates on progress and blockers during Agile ceremonies.

Manage user stories and tasks in Jira (or similar tools).

Support UAT sessions, respond to queries, and resolve issues.

Perform impact analysis for modifications to existing objects.

Build and manage data mappings, transformations, schedules, and automation pipelines .

Deliver ad-hoc analysis to address business questions.

Contribute to technical documentation (e.g., OneDoc, data flow diagrams, design docs).

Requirements : Must-Haves :

TOP 5 REQUIRED SKILLS :

5 years of Data Engineering in Agile Scrum Delivery Environment

3 years of experience using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Synapse SQL

3 years of experience with reporting and data analytics

TECHNOLOGY PROFICIENCIES :

Microsoft Office

BI / Visualization Tools (Tableau or Power BI, etc.)

Data Warehousing Applications (Azure, Synapse SQL etc.)

JIRA

Bachelor's Degree

Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate cross functionally

Communication Skills

Nice-to-Haves : Agile Certification.

Azure technology certifications.
