Summary The Continuity Engineering Project Leader takes ownership of all released products during their serial production phase, directing and coordinate activities of custom and / or standard product projects across fully cross-functional teams. This role is responsible for cost and process improvement initiatives, lifecycle management, customer and quality issue resolution, plant movements, and variant management-including standard platform oversight and change management for our Vehicle Solutions team. The position requires both strategic thinking and hands-on leadership to ensure our products remain competitive, cost-effective, and meet the highest standards of quality throughout their lifecycle.

This position offers significant exposure to customers and cross-functional teams and is ideal for a motivated professional seeking to grow into a broader leadership role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Own all management aspects of products in serial production, including customer and quality issue resolution.
  • Ensure engineering activities meet APQP requirements.
  • Ensure the budgetary, timeline and quality expectations are met.
  • Investigate and resolve manufacturing problems related to design and production of products.
  • Arrange for agency approvals as needed.
  • Develop and maintain a project priority schedule for projects.
  • Accept and reject parts, assemblies, final products and to act as a final authority for questions relating to performance and quality.
  • Provide technical support to internal and external customers.
  • Drive cost improvement projects and process enhancements to maintain product competitiveness and profitability.
  • Lead lifecycle management activities, including end-of-life planning.
  • Coordinate plant movements and oversee variant management, ensuring effective use of standard platforms.
  • Champion change management processes to maintain product integrity and alignment with expectations.
  • Serve as a primary contact for customers regarding product performance, improvements, and issue resolution-requiring strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and engineering teams to ensure production and quality meet specifications.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in engineering, product management, or related roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and deliver results on time and within budget.
  • Strong customer-facing skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain positive relationships.
  • Proven track record of driving cost and process improvements.
  • Experience in lifecycle or continuity engineering is a plus.
