CDI Specialist 2nd Level Reviewer

A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist 2nd Level Reviewer (Remote).

Key Responsibilities

Conduct detailed reviews of medical records and physician documentation for accuracy and compliance

Provide education and training on documentation best practices and coding guidelines to healthcare providers

Analyze provider performance measures and assist in identifying educational needs related to clinical documentation

Required Qualifications

BSN, RN, PA, NP, or Doctorate in a medically related field is highly preferred

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical documentation improvement role

Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience in adult acute care settings

Certification in CCDS and / or CDIP required; CCS required

In-depth knowledge of coding guidelines, ICD-10-CM / PCS, and DRGs
