Responsibilities
Manage, lead, and expand practice teams for multi-discipline projects and programs of work in the fields of Land Development.Apply an entrepreneurial spirit to create a vision for growth in the local Land Development practice and beyond.Leadership responsibilities include but are not limited to :Operating with integrity and sound business principals
Providing vision, business planning, strategy and establishing goalsBuilding and maintaining positive client relationshipsHaving open communication with your partners and teamGrowing and leading a Land Development practiceManagement responsibilities include but are not limited to :Establishing and cultivating client relationships
Making presentationsWriting proposals and scope of workEstablishing budgetsEnsuring quality and timeliness of deliverables, and supervising the execution of workOur Practice Builders manage their projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, grow and mentor staff, and act as a positive leader and mentorQualifications
10+ years of civil engineering, design, and management of Land Development projectsBachelor's DegreeRegistered Professional Engineer (P.E.) licenseExtensive client contacts and relationships with local architects, developers, land use attorneys, planners and / or land ownersStrong technical skills with AutoCAD Civil3DBusiness development skills, proven ability to win work, and marketing experience including writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgeting for projected workAbility to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organizationAbility to manage & mentor staff, and direct resources effectively in a positive mannerDemonstrated ability to manage land development projects profitablyExcellent communication, leadership, and technical skillsStrong desire and ability to be engaged with clients solving project problemsAbility to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organizationAbility to manage and mentor staff and direct resources effectively in a positive mannerDemonstrated ability to manage projects profitablyWhy Kimley-Horn?
