The Project PINS Mobile AcuDetox Specialist is a part-time position, responsible for assisting the AcuDetox Program Manager other on site Auricular Acupuncture Technician in expanding and treating in our, one-of-a-kind, Mobile AcuDetox program in Northern Arizona. This position will set up pop-up clinics to provide the AcuDetox 5-Needle Protocol (5NP) to clients at various community partner locations across the Navajo and Hopi reservations. - Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- AcuDetox Mobile Clinics
- : Provision of trauma-informed AcuDetox 5NP at community partner locations on Navajo and Hopi. Includes set-up and breakdown / clean up of clinics. Maintenance of HIPAA and client confidentiality and Clean Needle Technique. Connecting with and maintaining positive relationships with community partners and adding community partner host locations to the program. Current sites exist at Whitecone Chapter House, Yuwehloo Pahki Community Center, Pinon Chapter House, Second Mesa Day school and Keams Canyon Elementary School.
- Community Partner Outreach :
- This position is responsible for working with the AcuDetox Program manager to find community partner locations interested in hosting regular, weekly AcuDetox treatments.
- Community Outreach Events :
- Attendance at community outreach events and health fairs. Set-up, break down and provision of 5NP to participants. Promotion of the program in an attempt to increase access to the program.
- Grant reporting :
- Collection of accurate data from all participants and submitting that data in a timely manner.
- Grant Meeting Attendance :
- Attend ADHS Community of Practice meetings as assigned as well as individual meetings with ADHS and managers as appropriate.
- Advertising :
- Advertise AcuDetox clinics at community partner locations and around service areas to encourage regular attendance of pop-up clinics.
- Inventory :
- Maintain accurate supply inventory. Report program supply inventory needs to the Admin Assistant.
- Staff Training and Meetings :
- Attend and participate in all staff training and meetings as required by the Executive Director and ADHS.
- Program Evaluation :
- Work in collaboration with NAU Program Evaluation Consultant to ensure program evaluation occurs and support necessary changes.
- Other duties
- as decided by the Executive Director

- Required Qualifications
- Passion for accessible, integrative options in healthcare, harm reduction, restorative justice and the liberation of marginalized communities.
- Honest, personable, flexible and open-minded with an ability and willingness to engage with a diverse group of people with compassion and kindness.
- Comfortable working with acupuncture needles and the use of acupuncture as an intervention.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and with a team
- Reliable transportation to get to sites.
- Ability to obtain a Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in the field of harm reduction, SUD, and / or peer support.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized and able to work independently.
- Experience with in NADA / 5-Needle Protocol
- Able to keep a consistent schedule.
- Ability and willingness to follow COVID-19 procedures and guidelines
- Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience and understanding of Trauma Informed Care and harm reduction
- Training or Certification as an NADA / 5-Needle AcuDetox / Auricular Acupuncture Specialist.
- Familiarity with the community acupuncture model and how it supports the larger community.
- 2 years experience in the field of harm reduction, SUD, and / or peer support.
- CPR and First Aid Certification(provided by clinic if not current)
- HIPAA Training (paid for by clinic)
- Work Location :
- Hybrid. In-person service provision, remote office work. Reliable transportation required.
- Compensation
$24-$25 / hr depending on experience
This position is considered Part-Time : 20 hours a week.
Hours outside of regular hours may be required for training, special events and staff meetings.
