About The Position

Job Title : Special Procedures Cath Lab Tech

Experience : Minimum 1 year required

License : State license required

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, ARRT R required

Must-Have :

Strong Interventional Radiology experience required.

Experience with neuro, vascular, and cardiac procedures.

Ability to float within the cath lab unit as needed.

Experience with charting in Epic preferred.

Description :

The position involves working as a Special Procedures Cath Lab Tech with a focus on interventional radiology.

The role will require participation in procedures including diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations.

The daily caseload is expected to be around 15 cases.

Call is required, with 1 call weekend every 3-5 weeks and 8 call days within a 4-week period.

Common equipment includes various Philips imaging systems, along with specialized devices for interventional procedures.

Candidates should have experience with equipment setup and maintaining a sterile field during procedures.

The patient population includes adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.

Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is expected, including IV teams, physical therapy, and respiratory services.

Candidates should demonstrate skills in cardiac procedures such as IABP placement, left and right heart catheterization, and PCI.

Additional skills required include recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias and interpretation of dysrhythmias.

The ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of patient care is essential.
