Job Summary :
As a Flower Processor at George's Flowers, you will be an essential part of our operation, responsible for preparing flowers for our floral designers and ensuring our customers receive the best quality arrangements.
Key Responsibilities :
- Flower Handling : Handle flowers with care to prevent damage during processing.
- Sorting : Sort flowers based on quality, type, and freshness.
- Quality Control : Trim and cut flowers to the desired lengths while maintaining their appearance. Inspect flowers for imperfections and remove any subpar blooms. Report any damanged or unusable blooms that do not meet the George's Flowers standard to the Design Manager.
- Inventory Management : Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and restocking flower supplies.
- Cleaning : Maintain multiple walk-in coolers as well as a clean and organized workspace, including cleaning equipment and work surfaces. Maintaing clean common spaces when processing job is completed.
- Adaptability : Be willing to assist with other tasks as needed, such as helping with deliveries and occasional general maintenance.
Schedule :
Monday : Friday : 9am - 5pmSaturday : 9am - 1pmThese hours may vary on holidays, with longer events, or if all work is completed you could have the opportunity to leave early.
Qualifications :
Training is provided for this position, but preference is given to those who have worked with florals before.
Passion for flowers and an appreciation for their beauty.High school diploma or equivalent.Good physical fitness and stamina to perform tasks efficiently in a cold, cooler setting, including repetitive lifting of at least 50 pounds, bending, and standing for long periods / most of the 8-hour work day.Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently.Good communication skills and a friendly attitude.Ability to work as part of a small, collaborative team.Commitment to cleanliness and following company guidelines.Previous experience in a flower shop or a similar role is a plus, but not required.Benefits :
