Job Overview :
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Sr. Accountant to join a dynamic and high-performing finance team. This role is critical to supporting general accounting functions, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and driving improvements across budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in general ledger accounting, experience in a manufacturing environment, and the ability to work cross-functionally within a fast-paced organization.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage month-end close activities including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and rolling forecasts
- Monitor capital expenditures and maintain fixed asset and CIP schedules
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and support internal / external audits
- Maintain and document internal controls in alignment with SOX requirements
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and support working capital optimization initiatives
- Support the setup and maintenance of vendor and customer accounts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and improve process efficiency
- Participate in cost / benefit analysis for capital projects and operational improvements
- Assist with ERP system enhancements and reporting automation initiatives
Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or progress toward CPA preferred)3–5 years of progressive accounting experienceAt least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, aerospace, or industrial settingProficient in Excel and financial modeling (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, etc.)Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, NetSuite, SAP, or similar)Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsKnowledge of SOX compliance and internal control frameworksAbility to thrive in a deadline-driven, team-oriented environment
