- Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 17 / 2025 – End : 2 / 16 / 2026)\n
- Shift : Night, 4x12-hour shifts per week (19 : 00 – 07 : 30)\n
- Hours per Week : 48 hours (overtime available after 48 hours)\n
- Setting : Intensive Care Unit (ICU) – Registered Nurse\n
- Employment Type : Travel nursing assignment\n
- Weekly Estimated Pay : $1780–$1910 per week\n\nICU Registered Nurse Qualifications\n
- Active Virginia or Compact RN license in hand at time of application\n
- Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience (3 years preferred; strong candidates with less considered)\n
- Strong neuro ICU experience required (post-neurosurgical, EVD, and stroke care)\n
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health record (EHR) system (required)\n
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)\n
- NIHSS certification\n
- Willingness to float to Stepdown, Emergency Department (ED), or MedSurg units as needed\n
- No prior license or background issues (strict requirement)\n
- Must pass EKG testing (80% or higher, one attempt only)\n
- Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions allowed)\n
- Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (local candidates not accepted)\n\nICU Nurse Responsibilities\n
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients in the ICU\n
- Manage complex neuro ICU patients, including post-neurosurgical, EVD, and stroke cases\n
- Monitor and titrate IV drips, manage ventilators, and perform telemetry monitoring\n
- Administer conscious sedation and respond to medical emergencies as needed\n
- Float to Stepdown, ED, or MedSurg units to provide ICU-level care when required\n
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, and pharmacy\n
- Care for a diverse patient population : neurosurgical, respiratory failure, renal failure, post-surgical, trauma, sepsis, MODS, heart failure, and post-cardiac cath patients\n
