Assistant Manager – Go Fish Seafood (Fairgrounds Farmers Market)

Reading, PA

Starting at $16 / hour

⏰  Approximately 32 hours per week

Schedule : Wednesday 7 : 30 a.m.–Finish, Thursday–Friday 11 a.m.–7 p.m., Saturday 7 : 30 a.m.–4 p.m.

About the Role

Go Fish Seafood is looking for an organized, motivated, and team-oriented  Assistant Manager  to join our market team at the Fairgrounds Farmers Market. This hands-on leadership role ensures smooth daily operations, excellent customer service, and efficient teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure shifts run smoothly
  • Support and guide team members to complete assigned tasks
  • Assist with preparation and packaging of seafood for retail sale
  • Make salads and other prepared items to stock the case
  • Organize, stock, and maintain the seafood display case
  • Ensure all products meet Go Fish’s quality and freshness standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment
  • Manage time effectively to meet prep and closing deadlines
  • Communicate effectively with management and team members

Qualifications

  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Experience in food service, retail, or seafood preferred
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be dependable, team-minded, and customer-focused

  • Starting Pay :  $16 / hour
  • Hours :  32 hours per week
