About You

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP Basis Administrator. The Basis Administrator is responsible for the overall technical architecture, installation, administration, maintenance, and reliable operation of the SAP landscape. This role is critical for ensuring the stability, performance, and availability of all SAP systems, as well as managing the technical aspects of system integration. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with SAP system management, including on-premise and cloud environments (SAP BTP).

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage SAP system landscapes (S / 4HANA, PI / PO, Fiori, CAR etc.) across development, QA, and production environments.
  • Perform daily SAP Basis administration tasks including system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage support for applying hot security fixes, patch updates, kernel updates & SSL updates across all SAP Landscape
  • Configure and maintain SAP Solution Manager with a focus on ChaRM (Change Request Management).
  • Handle transport management using ChaRM workflows, approvals, and audit trails.
  • Support system upgrades, patching, kernel updates, and backup strategies.
  • Collaborate with functional and technical teams to ensure smooth deployment of changes.
  • Monitor system logs, dumps, and background jobs to proactively resolve issues.
  • Maintain user roles, authorizations, and security compliance.
  • Troubleshooting development / Fiori / Functional team issues on need basis
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution
  • Monitor data growth and perform data management activities to prevent performance degradation. This includes database performance checks to ensure efficiency and stability.
  • Document procedures, configurations, and system changes
  • Monitor and apply SAP security notes and patches to address vulnerabilities and maintain system security.
  • Regular system health checks including large table partitioning, cleanup etc.
  • Coordinate with SAP ECS teams for system provisioning, incident resolution, and infrastructure-related activities
  • Configure and maintain the SAP Fiori launchpad, including setting up catalogs, groups, and roles to provide a personalized user experience
  • Manage the SAP BTP global account, subaccounts, entitlements, and quotas to effectively allocate resources
  • Manage the SAP system landscape, including performing client copies, system refreshes, and applying pre- and post-copy steps to ensure data integrity and consistency
  • Configure and manage connections to cloud services such as SAP Cloud ALM (CALM) and the Cloud Connector for the Business Technology Platform (BTP)
  • Set up and maintain the SAP Cloud ALM tenant, including managing user access, roles, and authorizations
  • Set up and manage third-party integrations, ensuring secure and reliable connectivity between SAP and external systems.
  • Conduct regular system health checks to ensure optimal performance, availability, and early detection of potential issues.

Preferred

  • 8+ years of SAP Basis administration experience.
  • Strong expertise in SAP Solution Manager, especially ChaRM configuration and operations.
  • Experience with SAP NetWeaver, HANA DB, and cloud-hosted SAP environments.
  • Proficiency in transport management, system copies, and client administration.
  • Familiarity with SAP security concepts and user management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
