Summary
The Maintenance Associate is responsible for ensuring the proper upkeep and maintenance of the campus facilities at Scheck Hillel Community School. This role involves performing various maintenance tasks, assisting with repairs, and ensuring that the school environment remains safe, and conducive to learning.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of buildings and grounds to identify maintenance needs
- Perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks
- Maintain organization in all school facilities and common areas
- Assist in the setup and take-down of equipment for school events and activities
- Respond to maintenance requests from faculty and staff in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and school policies during all maintenance activities
- Collaborate with external contractors for larger repair projects, when required
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and completed work orders
- Assist with seasonal maintenance tasks, such as flood prevention / reaction and hurricane preparedness
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent requiredPrevious experience in a maintenance role or related field is a plusBasic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, is a plusSpanish is a plusStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and customer service skillsMust be able to work independently as well as part of a teamMust be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, overtime as neededPhysical Requirements
