Job Title
This is a relief / float position that requires the willingness to cover any shift, including days, evenings, nights, and / or weekends at any of one of our three residential facilities. There are no guaranteed minimum or maximum hours; hours and shifts are dependent on agency needs.
Qualifications :
- Basic computer literacy and ability to utilize multiple software platforms for documentation and communication is required.
- Pass employer pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
- Possess current driver's license, pass a DMV background check.
- Current CPR and Food Handler's certification (to be obtained as soon as possible on hiring).
- Experience working in long term care, assisted living, personal care, and / or mental health is desirable.
- Possess patience, empathy, and flexibility.
- Some knowledge of counseling techniques, theory, and practices for supporting mental health clients is ideal.
Duties :
Meets and maintains the standards and procedures for the provision of care and services to residents with severe and persistent mental illness in a licensed Residential Treatment Facility.Read client support documents as needed upon reporting to work and make all appropriate entries during and before the conclusion of the shift. Prepares concise, complete, and timely documentation.Assists residents of either gender in personal self-management activities including : eating, toileting, bathing, personal hygiene and grooming, cleaning, community access, personal spending, socialization, recreation, skill acquisition, and self-expression.Assists in serving and preparation of meals in accordance with MD orders, menus and dining plans.Maintains clean, sanitary and safe conditions throughout the facility.Administers medications and treatments in a timely and accurate manner per provider orders.Documents all medications and treatments in the electronic record per policy and procedure.Additional duties as assigned.
