Travel Nurse Job Details

Location : Tuscaloosa, AL 35401

Healthcare Setting : Cardiac Medical Unit (42 beds)

Assignment Length : 13-week travel contract

Start Date : November 24, 2025

End Date : February 21, 2026

Nursing Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Hours per Week : 36 (option for 48 hours / week)

Dress Code : Solid Navy Scrubs

Parking : On-site available

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Associate degree in Nursing required

Active Alabama RN license or compact state Registered Nurse license (no temporary licenses)

AHA BLS certification or Red Cross equivalent

Minimum 1 year of experience in Med / Surg Telemetry nursing specialty

At least 18 months of overall RN experience preferred

Experience with Meditech EMR preferred

Willingness to float to other units and hospitals as needed

Med / Surg Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver patient-centered care for cardiac and medical patients, including those with chest pain, arrhythmias, pneumonia, GI issues, COPD, diabetes, stroke, and post-surgical needs

Manage a 1 : 6 nurse-to-patient ratio to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Collaborate with nursing and ancillary healthcare staff to support specialized patient recovery

Float to other units and hospitals within the health system as required

Work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled
