Project Overview :
We are seeking a highly experienced React Architect / Developer to lead the front-end development for a large and complex enterprise application. This is not just a development role, the selected candidate will design and architect the entire front-end framework, ensuring seamless integration with back-end services and APIs.
This individual will serve as the sole front-end engineer on the team, responsible for both implementation and architectural decisions that will shape the user interface and integration strategy. This is a high profile update for a NOAA application and the candidate will work with a team of Java and GCP Engineers for migration.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Lead the front-end architecture and design for a mission-critical, large-scale web application.
- Develop and maintain highly responsive UI components using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript .
- Define best practices for front-end and API integration with back-end RESTful services.
- Implement secure authentication and authorization workflows using OAuth2, OIDC, and OpenSAML .
- Collaborate closely with back-end engineers, architects, and product owners to ensure system-wide cohesion.
- Own front-end technical decisions, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance.
- Provide mentorship and establish coding standards, even as the sole front-end resource.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
6+ years of hands-on experience with React (deep expertise required).Extensive experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and REST API integration.Proven track record designing and architecting complex front-end applications.Strong expertise with OAuth2, OIDC, and OpenSAML authentication frameworks.Desired Skills & Qualifications :
