We are looking for a Procurement Manager to join our team in Branchburg, New Jersey. In this dynamic role, you will contribute to critical procurement initiatives, including sourcing, contract negotiations, and vendor management, with a focus on capital expenditures and raw materials. This is a Contract-to-Permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity to work with a global leader in pharmaceuticals. This role is fully onsite in Branchburg, NJ. Experience with SAP is preferred.
Responsibilities :
- Manage procurement activities related to capital expenditures and sourcing raw materials to support business operations.
- Conduct competitive bidding processes to ensure cost-effective solutions and maintain quality standards.
- Negotiate and draft vendor contracts to achieve favorable terms and compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement strategies with organizational goals.
- Utilize SAP S / 4HANA and SAP Ariba to manage procurement workflows and contracts efficiently.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvement within procurement operations.
- Ensure adherence to government and corporate procurement regulations at all levels.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to optimize performance and delivery timelines.
- Provide support to the Procurement Director and work collaboratively within a team of four.
- Stay updated on industry trends, particularly within pharmaceuticals and life sciences, to enhance procurement strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
- Proficiency in SAP S / 4HANA and SAP Ariba systems.
- Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation and vendor management.
- Strong knowledge of government and corporate procurement practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Experience with indirect procurement and purchasing processes is highly desirable.
