Tool & Die Maker – 2nd Shift (3 : 00 PM – 11 : 00 PM)
You know your way around a shop floor — and you take pride in precision. This role puts your hands-on skills to work building, repairing, and improving the tools and dies that keep production moving safely and efficiently.
You’ll work with experienced machinists, troubleshoot real problems, and sharpen your craft with a team that values accuracy and steady execution.
What You’ll Do
Build and repair tools, dies, and components used in manufacturing.
Read blueprints and technical drawings with exactness.
Perform milling, grinding, and turning using manual machines.
Measure and inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and precision tools.
Troubleshoot tool and die issues alongside senior staff.
Follow plant safety standards and maintain a clean workspace.
Continue developing your technical skills through ongoing training.
What You Bring
1+ year experience machining and constructing tooling to drawing specs.
1+ year reading blueprints.
1+ year operating manual lathes, mills, and grinders.
Experience working with tool steels (D2, A2, copper, etc.).
High school diploma or GED.
Must live within 50 miles of the facility.
Preferred
Associate degree in Tool & Machining or 2+ years as a die maker.
Experience building die tooling for stamping / manufacturing.
TIG / MIG welding skills.
Knowledge of heat-treating steel.
Pay & Shift
Start at $22.34 / hr , with an increase to $23.52 / hr after 6 months . Core hours : 3 : 00 PM – 11 : 00 PM .
