Position Overview :
The Department of Music at The College of New Jersey welcomes applications for an Associate Director of Bands and Artist Teacher of Instrumental Performance. This is a full-time, clinical specialist position (non-tenure track). Teaching and academic-advising responsibilities to include : |
The successful candidate will contribute to the growth of the Department of Music, in close collaboration with the Director of Bands. They will foster a high-level performance and education environment in a diverse liberal arts context. Excellent oral, interpersonal, and writing skills are required. A clear understanding of current developments in secondary and post-secondary education is essential. In order to be considered for promotion, service to the College is expected, with a prioritization of independent, departmental, and college-wide recruitment. Developing and maintaining contacts and sustained relationships with local and regional music educators is crucial.
