Overview

Base pay range : $19.00 / hr - $21.00 / hr. This range is provided by Huntington Learning Center Ashburn. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Responsibilities

  • Bring your skills and expertise to help students develop.
  • Work with students in a 1-to-1 setting, with the potential to work with 1-3 students as needed.
  • There are no lesson plans to write or curriculum to develop.
  • No parent-teacher conferences.

Qualifications

  • This is an IN-PERSON POSITION. Candidates who are remote should not apply.
  • Bachelor\'s Degree is REQUIRED.
  • 4-YEAR DEGREE IS REQUIRED : A bachelor\'s degree is the minimum degree-level requirement. Candidates without a degree should not apply.
  • Certification / License a plus, but not required.
  • Experience levels can vary - current and retired teachers are encouraged. Professionals with expertise in other subject areas are welcome to apply.
  • Must be a caring and qualified professional committed to the success of students.

    • Subjects and Tutor Capacity

  • Huntington Learning Center is hiring in-person, part-time tutors who have expertise and experience tutoring math topics up through AP Calculus A / B, as well as SAT and ACT-level math.
  • We are interested in tutoring or math subjects such as Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2 / Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus (including AP), and AP Calculus A / B.
  • We also need tutors who can tutor lower-level math up through Pre-Algebra.
  • We are also looking for tutors with the ability and experience teaching science topics such as chemistry, physics, and biology at both non-AP and AP-levels.

    • Opportunity Details

  • Flexible, part-time hours - afternoon, evening, weekend, and summer. We are open every day.
  • The role involves 1-to-1 student work, with potential for small groups.
