Classroom Management
Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the studentsUnderstand the responsibility of being a mandated child abuse / neglect reporter according to PA State LawSupervise all activities to ensure safety at all timesMaintain a neat and orderly classroom by straightening chairs and tables, cleaning chalkboard at the end of the day, and making sure all items are left as they were in the beginning of the dayTake attendance in accordance with district proceduresIndicate to students at the beginning of class the basic expectations for behavior in the class in accordance with school district policiesEnsure that students are never left unattended in the classroom or put in an unsafe situationLesson Delivery
Employ instructional methods and materials that are most appropriate for meeting lesson objectivesCarry out a program of study prescribed in the lesson plans left by the classroom teacher whenever they are availableGuide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and objectives as indicated in the lesson plans for the lessons, units or projects assignedWhat are the required qualifications?
A Bachelor's Degree is the minimal requirement.Willingness to go through (and pass!) the required clearances and training to ensure the safety and security of our children, including : four clearances, mandated reporter training, a physical, and TB test.
