Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least one year of inpatient adult rehab experience and an Oklahoma OT license for a full-time contract position.

Responsibilities

  • Inpatient adult rehabilitation services unit
  • Day shift, 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
  • Work with adult patient population requiring various levels of occupational therapy intervention
  • Treatment planning and implementation under physician direction
  • Responsibilities include evaluating, planning, and implementing individual and group OT activities
  • Role requires designing adaptive equipment, instructing patients and families, and participating in discharge planning
  • Some supervision of students may be required
  • 50 mile radius rule in effect; local candidates within 50 miles not eligible
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary rehab team
  • Must adhere to all onboarding deadlines and participate in required background and drug screening

    • Requirements

  • Current Occupational Therapist license from the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision required if applicable
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy required
  • Minimum of one year recent experience in an inpatient setting
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
  • Strong knowledge of OT principles and practices, and ability to interpret therapy prescriptions
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
