CACG, LLC is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead the design and implementation of technical solutions aligned with strategic business goals. This role involves working with architecture frameworks (DoDAF, TOGAF), modeling tools, and cloud technologies to support federal clients.
SKILL LEVEL : 8-10 years of experience as an Enterprise Architect with a strong focus in leveraging DoDAF and TOGAF frameworks.
LOCATION : Remote (primary) with occasional on-site activities required at the client site in the National Capital Region (primarily sites in Quantico, VA and Ft Meade, MD).
SECURITY CLEARANCE : Applicants must be U.S. citizens and must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a Department of Defense (DoD) issued SECRET level security clearance during employment.
Key contributions :
- Lead and participate in the development, maintenance, and evolution of enterprise architecture models and artifacts in accordance with DoDAF principles and guidelines.
- Utilize advanced architecture modeling tools, specifically Cameo Systems Modeler (Cameo) and Sparx Enterprise Architect (Sparx), to create, update, and manage architecture views and models.
- Update and conduct comprehensive analysis of existing ("as-is") enterprise architectures, identifying redundancies, gaps, and areas for improvement.
- Design and develop future-state ("to-be") enterprise architectures, including business, data, application, and technology layers, that support strategic goals and enable future capabilities.
- Translate complex business requirements and mission needs into clear, actionable architectural designs and specifications.
- Collaborate closely with technical teams, program chief architect, and stakeholders to ensure architectural designs are understood, implemented correctly, and meet operational needs.
- Develop and present architectural briefings, documentation, and roadmaps to various audiences, from technical staff to senior leadership.
- Define and implement architectural governance processes to ensure consistency, compliance, and quality across all architectural efforts.
Required Skills
Experience working in Federal environments, preferably DoD (e.g., PMO or PEO settings)Background in cloud or systems architectureStrong technical writing and documentation skillsProficiency in information managementAbility to multitask and manage time effectivelyDemonstrated intellectual curiosity and problem-solving mindsetPreferred Experience and Knowledge
Hands-on experience with cloud migration for complex IT systems or applicationsFamiliarity with Federal cloud security standards (e.g., FEDRAMP) and NIST frameworksKnowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as DoDAFExperience using modeling tools like CAMEO or EA SparxUnderstanding of development methodologies including Lean Agile, Agile, and SAFeEducation and Experience Level
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience8–10 years of experience delivering enterprise architecture servicesDeep understanding of DoDAF viewpoints and their practical applicationProven ability to document As-Is architectures and design robust To-Be solutionsStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, especially in complex environmentsCertifications :
Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, TOGAF, DoDAF, or Zachman Framework are highly desirable.
