Position Summary : The Cage Shift Manager assists the Cage Manager with the daily operations of the cage department ensuring the Cage operates in a secure, efficient and accountable manner.
Essential Functions :
- Supervise the daily activities of assigned subordinates to include the following : plan, assign and direct work, manage team member performance, approve time cards and time-off requests and address concerns of team member in the departments.
- Assist with posting job openings, interviewing, hiring, on-boarding and training new team members at all levels in their respective functions.
- Assist with planning, developing and implementing policies and procedures to enable the cage to comply with required regulations.
- Monitor and ensure that all Cage transactions are recorded in the Cage accountability systems and software as defined by policies and procedures.
- Plan and facilitate meetings with Cage supervisors on a set frequency to review and discuss policies and procedures, address problems and concerns and build cohesion on the team.
- Monitor Cage compliance with Federal currency transaction reporting requirements; Title 31 requirements; Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Currency Transactions Reports and Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino established Anti-Money Laundering policies. Maintain accurate MTL, MIL, CTR and SARCs as needed.
Other Functions :
Perform the job duties of Cage Cashier and Main Banker as needed.Attend and participate in all department and casino mandatory meetings as required.Attend and satisfactorily complete all required training classes as assigned and required.Perform other duties as assigned.CORE Competencies :

Physical Demands :
This position requires frequent standing, walking and stooping for extended periods of time and occasional reaching with hands and arms may be expected.This position will frequently be required to talk and hear in interactions with guests and other KLEC team members.Specific visual abilities are constantly required for this position to include close, distance and peripheral vision and depth perception.Frequent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity using fingers is required to operate a keyboard, touch-screen display, telephone, calculator, etc.Occasional work for long hours under pressure and possibly under stressful condition imposed by long guest lines and / or other unforeseen factors will occur.May occasionally be required to lift, pull or push up to 50lbs.Work Environment :
The primary constant work location for this position is on the 1st floor of the casino in a temperature controlled partially enclosed space at a desk or counter top exposed to the casino floor. T he casino floor is a smoke-filled environment with low to high levels of noise and florescent lighting. The working environment will frequently become extremely congested with guests based on promotional events or other high volume occurrences at the casino.Occasional exposure to risk that may be associated with attempting to resolve issues with difficult guests and extremely irate team members are possible.Occasional travel by land or air motorized vehicle away from the casino requiring overnight stays may be expected.REQUIRED CRITERIA :
Associates degree in Accounting, Business Administration or a related area from a college or university is required.Two (2) years of related experience required; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.Demonstrated knowledge of cash management handling is requiredMust be detailed oriented, accurate, highly organized, self-motivated and demonstrate initiative on a daily basis.The demonstrated ability to effectively address multiple competing priorities occurring within the same time period is critical. Prioritizing and full-execution are a must.Demonstrated quality decision making and problem solving skills are required; collect data, examination of data or precedent; establish facts, drawing conclusions and timely acting based on conclusion reached. The ability to process abstract ideas.Effective verbal and written communications skills in English using multiple methods (individual, groups, telecommunication equipment, etc.) of communications is required.Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Able to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and inference.Must demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (word, excel, power point, etc.), email and internet use and other accounting and finance related software.Must be at least 18 years of age.Must be able to obtain and retain a KTTT Gaming Commission Gaming License, including successful completion of background check necessary to obtain and maintain License. Responsible to keep all documents current and valid at all times.Must be able to provide authorization to work in the United States.Must have access to reliable transportation to commute to and from work.Must be willing and able to work nights, weekends, holidays and / or extended hours if required.PREFERRED CRITERIA :
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration from a college or university.Four (4) to six (6) years of related experience preferably in a gaming environment is a plus.Fluent verbal and written communication in Spanish or other languages is a plus.OTHER CRITERIA :
Qualified Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas and qualified Native American preference is observed.
