Purpose
The Electromechanical Technician Lead role is to install, maintain, and repair sophisticated equipment that integrates both electrical and mechanical systems, such as extrusion lines, industrial machinery, and automated assemblies.
Areas of Responsibility / Tasks
The Electromechanical Technician Lead keeps complex automated systems running efficiently by troubleshooting problems, performing diagnostics, and calibrating parts, which is crucial for extrusion, energy production, and other high-tech industries.
Essential Functions :
- Lead role while on shift.
- Install new or upgraded electromechanical equipment and assemblies according to technical specifications and blueprints and schematics.
- Perform routine inspections, calibration, and repairs on automated machinery, extrusion lines, and other complex systems.
- Diagnose and resolve issues in systems that combine electrical, mechanical, and electronic components.
- Conduct performance tests on equipment and components to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards.
- Record test results, maintenance logs, and other relevant data for reports and process improvement.
- Completes and fills out required paperwork, logs, and related materials, including forklift checklists.
- Carries out activities in accordance with Company policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
- Completes all assigned cleaning tasks.
- Escalate issues related to processing or maintenance problems when required
- A thorough understanding of the extrusion processes from the beginning to the end of production.
- Inventory accountability and validation.
- Understand the daily, monthly, and annual KPIs.
- All other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position will be the shift lead. This position will receive directions from the Maintenance Manager and in turn direct the Maintenance activities on the floor as they will be the main source of communication (emails, reports, calls, etc.).
Minimum Qualifications / Education / Experience / Certifications
Education : Associate's degree or related training equivalent preferred; Equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree / certificationExperience : 5 years of relevant work experience in similar title and scope of responsibility preferred; Industrial Automation is a plus; Industrial Networking is a plusLicences / Certifications :Language : Proficiency in English required; Bi-Lingual – Spanish is a plusCompetencies; Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSA)
