Job Summary :
We are seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation of various residential and / or commercial heating, cooling, and ventilation systems. This role requires technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and strong customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities :
Install, maintain, and repair various HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductwork, in compliance with manufacturer specifications and local codes.
Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications to ensure proper installation.
Perform all necessary electrical and mechanical work, including low-voltage and line-voltage wiring and connecting gas / refrigerant lines.
Conduct system startups, testing, and adjustments to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
Document all work performed, including time spent, parts used, and any required paperwork.
Inspect job sites, prepare necessary materials, and maintain a clean and safe work area.
Communicate effectively with customers, explaining the installation process and instructing them on system operation and maintenance.
Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
Required Qualifications and Skills :
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Proven experience as an HVAC Installer or similar role.
Valid state HVAC technician license (where applicable).
EPA Section 608 Certification to handle refrigerants.
Thorough understanding of HVAC installation procedures, safety regulations, and building codes.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time management skills.
Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs., work in confined spaces, and withstand varying temperatures.
Preferred Qualifications :
NATE certification.
Experience with smart HVAC systems or energy-efficient solutions.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
