Position overview
- Operate as a CDL‑A Local Driver on dedicated customer routes out of the Adairsville, GA distribution center.
- Routes typically cover a 250‑mile radius and consist primarily of drop‑and‑hook deliveries to retail stores, with occasional live backhauls.
- Work schedule is local with daily home time .
- Typical shift patterns include Sun–Thu or Tue–Sat ; assignments may be daily most weeks.
- Equipment is slip‑seat with a single bunk; tractors are I‑shift (automatic).
Compensation and pay details
Mileage pay (effective 3 / 2 / 25) : $0.53 per mile for 1st shift and $0.63 per mile for 2nd shift.Additional pay : $12.00 stop pay per stop; $100 congestion pay for deliveries to Atlanta, Chamblee, or Lithonia stores.Hazmat premium : $75 extra for hazmat loads. A hazmat endorsement is not required for the role but is required to haul hazmat loads.Typical daily productivity : drivers can log 400–450 miles per day with 2–4 stops; weekly earnings will vary by miles and shift (historical averages have ranged in the $1,100–$1,300 per week area depending on miles and shift).Qualifications
Valid Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL‑A).Ability to meet DOT medical and regulatory requirements and to pass required drug screening.Ability to perform the physical duties of the role, including safe vehicle operation and occasional assistance with live loading / unloading.12 months of Tractor Trailer CDL-A experience within the last 24 monthsEquipment and benefits
