Operations Technician - Grain Elevator / Scale

PURPOSE OF POSITION :

This position is responsible to receive and ship grain from elevator, safely perform operations, and maintain the facility at The Arthur Companies.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Receive grain and accurately load into the correct bins
• Prepare the grain to ship to named destinations as directed by operations leader
• Operate scale to weigh inbound and outbound trucks and railcars, interacting with both customers and team members
• Operate conveyors and other heavy equipment to load trucks or railcars
• Operate loader to run and clean out the bottom of the bins
• Inspect and maintain a clean, safe and productive working environment
• Maintain equipment and repair as needed such as grease bearings, repair holes, replace belts on motor
• Read and test sensors and bearings on the Hazard Monitoring system to ensure system is running efficiently
• Log and report any malfunctions and issues to operations leader
• Participate in safety program by following all safety policies, and wear proper PPE
• Adhere to company policies and procedures set forth by the company
• Work additional hours as assigned and / or during peak seasons, travel to other sites as needed
• Other duties as necessary
