Job Summary :

Responsible for routing inbound and outbound air freight shipments to their destinations and processing transactions for shipments.

Job Duties :

  • Load and unload freight, packages or cargo
  • Take orders from customers, arrange for pickup of cargo and answer questions related to cargo
  • Prepare bills of lading and weigh items to determine charges and prepare freight bills
  • Collect fees, process payments, and issue refunds using the computer system
  • Contact vendors and claims adjustment department to resolve problems with shipments
  • Prepare manifest to accompany shipments and maintain records of goods shipped, received, and stored
  • May also perform ramp agent duties as needed
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and policies
  • Perform other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position

    • Qualifications :

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess a valid Driving License
  • Must be able to obtain credentials required as per airport or state or customs requirements

    • Physical requirements :

  • Must be able to constantly lift, move up to 70 lbs, push, pull; and constantly walk, stand, reach above shoulder, climb, crawl, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, grasp outwards and bend
