Senior Plumbing and Fire Protection Designer

The Senior Plumbing and Fire Protection Designer will provide engineering design, evaluation, and planning of plumbing systems. The candidate will have the opportunity to work on projects in a variety of market sectors, such as healthcare, academic, industrial, and commercial projects.

In this role, you will :

Design plumbing systems including medical / laboratory piping and gases

Design performance specification for fire protection systems

Develop systems design calculations and selection of equipment for use in buildings

Prepare detailed design documents

Write / edit project specifications

Be responsible for code compliance research

Coordinate work with other disciplines

Work on site surveys to determine and document existing conditions

Provide construction administration services

You will be a great fit if :

You have a minimum of 15 years design experience

You have your Certification in Plumbing Design

You have experience in Fire Protection

You have experience with laboratories / medical facilities design is preferred

Skills / abilities :

Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office

Familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines

Excellent work ethic and attitude

Good communication and time management skills

Interpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance, and prioritize work
