SPECIALTY UNIT : Dialysis

LOCATION :   Barnwell, SC

SHIFT :   Days

JOB TYPE : Full-Time Permanent

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in dialysis care, you’ll play an essential role in improving the quality of life for patients living with kidney disease. You’ll provide compassionate, high-quality care while supporting and mentoring Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) and working alongside an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

What You’ll Do

Patient Care

  • Provide safe, comfortable, and effective dialysis treatment to patients.
  • Conduct and document physical assessments before and after treatments.
  • Monitor patients throughout dialysis sessions, addressing needs and concerns promptly.
  • Complete monthly medication profile reviews and administer medications as ordered by physicians.

Teamwork & Collaboration

  • Serve as an active member of the interdisciplinary care team, contributing to patient assessments and care planning.
  • Assist in ensuring proper staffing levels in accordance with state regulations.
  • Support and supervise PCTs, fostering a collaborative and supportive care environment.
  • Safety & Quality

  • Adhere to all regulatory standards, clinical policies, and infection control protocols.
  • Participate in ongoing education, training, and team meetings.
  • Maintain accurate documentation to support compliance and high-quality patient outcomes.
  • Qualifications : Required

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
  • Ability to distinguish all primary colors (for dialysis safety protocols).
  • Preferred

  • One or more years of current nursing experience.
  • Previous dialysis nursing experience.
