Quality Analyst

We're looking for a Quality Analyst to join the Submarine Re-Entry Control Quality Assurance and Certification Team at HII Mission Technologies in Newport News, VA. In this role, you'll be responsible for certifying REC work and managing all Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) and REC certification. You'll also attend briefings, oversee the Newport News REC process, and develop a strategic training plan for both legacy and UIPI REC certifications. Additionally, you'll communicate key program performance indicators and report on the overall health of the REC process.

What You Will Do

• Develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses.
• Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards.
• Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems.
• Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies.
• Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met.
• Recommends corrective actions, dispositions and modifications.
• Possess a comprehensive understanding of NAVSEA 0924-062-0010 (SUBSAFE Requirements Manual) and supporting documentation and instructions, as well as a broad understanding of SUBSAFE, FBW SCS, and DSS-SOC work.
• Working knowledge of NAVSEA 0948-LP-045-7010 (Material Control Standard) is preferred.

Office, industrial or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances. Lifting and moving of materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one man lift.
